Clubnight format varies depending on how many people turn up. We generally play a variation of a couple of formats:
Standard Pegboard and Winners go up / Losers go down
Please be considerate and pick from the first 8 names where possible.
To ensure balanced and enjoyable games with an even standard of players, please do not be offended if you are overlooked for a particular game.
Likewise, it causes resentment among players if you continually overlook people and pick from too far back in the queue.
Be considerate and make sure no-one sits more than one game out.
Want a break? Take your peg off. Re-join at the back of the queue when you are ready.
Don't fancy picking? Let the person next in line pick. You must sit out the game but remain at the front of the queue.

Write your name on a peg.
Optionally, write your ability on your peg too:
A = Advanced, B = Intermediate, C = Beginner
This helps pick fair games if you don't know people.
Place your peg at the back of the 'Waiting queue'.
The person at the front of the queue chooses themself and three other people to play a game. Their pegs are moved to a free court slot.
The person now NEXT in the waiting queue picks their next game, etc until all courts are full.
Games played to 21 with setting, or 15 if there are lots of people waiting.
Move your pegs to the back of the waiting queue, winners placed before losers.
*** It is your own responsibility to ensure your name is returned to the waiting queue on the board!***
TL;DR:
Like above, each court has its own mini-queue. If you win, join the queue for the next court up. If you lose, join the queue for the next court down.
Write your name on a peg.
Place your peg at the back of one of the WAITING courts, making sure to balance out the number of people waiting for each court.
If you have a choice of courts, please make an honest assessment of your relative ability and place your peg in a suitable starting position. Ask for guidance if necessary.
Whoever is 'NEXT' chooses themselves and three other people from their waiting court to play a game. The 4 pegs are moved up to the corresponding court 'PLAYING' box.
All games start and finish at the same time!
Games are to 21 points, and the first court to reach 21 calls "TIME".
All other courts finish their point then stop.
Whoever has the highest score (or the first to reach the score if tied) is the winner.
Starting with court 4:
The winning pair place their pegs at the back of the waiting queue for the next court UP (or the same court if they are on court 1).
The losing pair place their pegs at the back of the waiting queue for the next court DOWN (or the same court if they are on court 4).
Repeat for courts 3, 2, 1.
Alf and Bob play Charlie and Dave on Court 4 (the 'bottom' court).
Elsie and Freda play Georgina and Harriett on court 3.
Alf's game reaches 21 points and call "TIME!" and everyone comes off.
Alf and Bob win their game, so they go 'up' to the back of the queue for court 3.
Charlie and Dave go to the back of the queue for court 4 again.
Elsie and Freda were winning 18-11 in their game, so they 'win' and go 'up' from court 3 to the back of the queue for court 2.
Georgina and Harriett go 'down' to the back of the queue for court 4.
etc...
Now waiting for Court 4 are (in order of pick) Charlie, Dave, Georgina, Harriett.
